Third Public Consultation Feedback

THIRD PUBLIC CONSULTATION FEEDBACK

After another successful public consultation held last Wednesday 28th, here is a brief summary of the evenings events.

We started establishing the neighbourhood forum which will drive the whole process and are well on our way to achieving the required number of members from our community. We have to state the forum is open for anyone to join, so if you want to take part in this exciting community enterprise for Flixton then please click on the below link to access and download a forum application form.

You can either e-mail your completed form to: MyFlixton@outlook.com
or post to:    My Flixton NPG
                    6 Franklyn Avenue
                    Flixton
                    Manchester
                    M41 8QX

The groups proposed vision and objectives for the plan were also presented at the event. It will give you an insight into what a Neighbourhood Plan for Flixton could achieve.

Please click on the link below to see them and please feel free to comment.

We are looking to host an open day in January 2019 so the people who have not been able to make the midweek evening events can attend.

As ever please stay in touch with our on line community and please feel free to contact using all the mediums available.

Thanks for all your input and enthusiasm so far.

Second Public Engagement a Success

September gave us our second community engagement event.

Thanks to the residents for their enthusiasm in putting ideas forward on how a future Flixton could look. Elected reps and TBC head of strategic planning were in attendance.
It was great to have some positive engagement and the table top exercise and discussion on ideas for what they would like in our area was invaluable
Big thanks to the John Alker Club for being a great host again.

The next step will be to contact the attendees who left their details and meet with them to explain the next steps to creating a neighbourhood forum.

Here are few pics from the community engagement.

Watch this space for the next event.

Flixton Neighbourhood Plan Consultation Event

After the success of the first one, we are pleased to announce our second Flixton Neighbourhood Plan Consultation Event.

We have shown as a community what can be done, whether working together to protect the Green Belt, bring pride back into our local gardens and keep community facilities open.

The next stage of local residents taking control over what is important to them, is to now to look at developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Flixton (including the WW site) to secure it for the future.
Flixton has other assets and we must ensure that we protect and enhance these too for the future.

Please join us to have your say over what happens next
Everyone is welcome!

John Alker Hall, Flixton Road, Flixton

  • Why it's the right time to secure the future of Flixton

Together we have demonstrated the power that local residents can yield when they share a common vision about something close to their hearts.
Groups working together to protect the Green Belt, bring pride back into our local gardens and keep community facilities open, have all shown what can be done!
The next stage of local residents taking control over what is important to them, is now to look at developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Flixton (including the WW site) to secure it for the future.
Flixton has other assets and we must ensure that we protect and enhance these too for the future.
